What is the temperature in Costa Rica?

The average temperatures in Grecia, the range is 64 F to 86 F. It's always cooler in the shade!

What do I bring?

You don't need much. Light yoga clothes, hiking sandals, camera, batteries and or charger, sun screen, sun hat, water bottle, insect repellant, small flash light and any special medications you require.

What airlines fly to Costa Rica?

American Airlines offers direct service from Phoenix to San Jose, Costa Rica. Other airlines that offer service are Delta, Southwest, United.

What is the Costa Rican currency?

Costa Rica's currency, the colon (colones plural), currently exchanges at around 500 colones per one US dollar and can vary from 500 to 600 colones for each U.S. dollar. There is an ATM nearby.

What travel documents will I need?

A valid passport is necessary to travel to Costa Rica. Participants are responsible for ensuring they have a valid passport. Currently US citizens do not need a visa to travel to Costa Rica.

What are ticos?

Tico (feminine tica, plural ticos, ticas) is a colloquial term for a native of Costa Rica. Costa Ricans are usually called ticos by themselves and persons of other Spanish-speaking countries, in place of the more formal costarricenses. To learn more, check it out in Wikipedia.

Important Notes

If you need to cancel for any reason and we can find a person to take your spot, we will refund the amount paid minus $100. If we can not find a person to take your spot, there are no refunds; however, you can transfer your paid spot to someone also, so you can send a friend or family member to the retreat in your place.

Waiver: All participants are required to sign a waiver when they sign up for the retreat. The waiver will be emailed to you.
